Some of the topics covered include how to get started, horses best suited for this sport, breeds and types of cattle often used for team penning, how cattle see and react, strategies in making a run, some of the problems encountered in penning and how to handle them, and how to put on a penning contest. In addition, the book includes information on terminology used in penning, and a set of basic rules.
